Attic Insulation Installation | Hudson, WI

A Warmer Home Starts With the Right Insulation

If your attic is losing heat in the winter or letting the cool air out in the summer, insulation could be the missing piece. We install spray-in attic insulation for homeowners across Hudson, Woodbury, and Stillwater, often as part of the same visit when we're already up on your roof or in your attic assessing storm damage.

Most homes in our service area were built with less insulation than a Minnesota or Wisconsin winter really calls for. When we're already in your attic for a roof inspection, checking insulation depth is a standard part of the visit — it's one of the fastest ways to see the true condition of your roof deck from underneath, and it's often where we find a home sitting on just a few inches of insulation coverage where twenty or more is recommended.

Insulation isn't the biggest part of what we do, and we're upfront about that. We're a roofing company first, and most of our insulation work happens naturally when we're already up in your attic assessing storm damage or planning a roof replacement. If you're looking for a standalone insulation project, we'll take an honest look and tell you straight whether it's worth doing — and if it is, you'll get the same one-project-manager communication we provide on every job.

How Insulation Fits Into a Revive Roofing Project

A leaky roof, an ice dam, and a cold upstairs bedroom are often symptoms of the same problem: not enough insulation between your living space and the elements. Because most of our work starts with a storm damage inspection or a roof repair call, checking your attic's insulation depth is a natural extension of a visit we're already making — not a separate sales appointment.

Attic Insulation

We install spray-in attic insulation to bring under-insulated homes up to a comfortable, efficient level. Many of the attics we inspect during roof evaluations have only a few inches of coverage where twenty or more is recommended for our climate.

Thin insulation lets heat escape into the roof deck, which is one of the biggest contributors to the ice dams that plague homes across the St. Croix Valley every winter. We stay away from closed-cell spray foam in attics — in our experience, it seals the space too tightly and doesn't let a roof deck breathe the way it needs to through a Wisconsin winter.

Wall Insulation During Siding Projects

For older homes that never had wall insulation added, we can drill small access holes near the top of the wall cavity, blow insulation in, and patch the holes before new siding goes back on. This is most practical when a full wall of siding is already coming down, so the insulation work adds efficiency without adding a separate project to your schedule.

When Insulation Makes Sense as a Standalone Project

We won't tell you every home needs an insulation upgrade just to make a sale. If we're already on your roof or replacing your siding and we see a real gap, we'll flag it and give you a straightforward number. If you're calling specifically about insulation on a newer home, we'll still take a look and tell you honestly whether it's worth doing. Reach out through our Contact Us page, and one of our project managers will walk you through it.

Frequently Asked Questions

More detail on how insulation fits into a Revive Roofing & Restoration project.

Will you inspect my insulation during a roof inspection?

Yes. Checking attic insulation is a normal part of our roof inspections, whether we're there for storm damage, a repair, or a full replacement. It's one of the easiest ways to see the condition of your roof deck from underneath and catch heat-loss issues before they become bigger problems.

Insulation itself typically isn't part of a storm damage claim unless it was damaged directly by water intrusion from a covered event, such as a roof leak. If that's the case, we can help document the damage as part of your overall storm damage claim.

Proper attic insulation helps keep heat from escaping into the roof deck, which is one of the biggest contributors to ice dams in our area. We also install high-temp ice and water shield around roof penetrations and step flashing as an added line of defense, but insulation and attic ventilation are the first places to start.

If your upstairs rooms are hard to heat or cool, you're seeing ice dams along your eaves each winter, or your energy bills keep climbing, it's worth having us take a look. We'll give you a straightforward answer, not a hard sell.

Revive helped us get a new roof covered under insurance - it wasn't an easy task but CJ was insistent on not giving up, and it worked!! Getting a new roof is quite the long process from start to finish, but he was always very communicative. Highly recommend.
